U.S. equities tumbled after former President Donald TRUMP renewed threats of tariffs against Apple and the EU, reigniting trade war anxieties. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 234 points (0.56%) to 41,624, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.69% and 0.97% respectively.

Trump specifically targeted Apple, demanding iPhone production shift to U.S. soil. "I have long ago informed Tim Cook of Apple that I expect their iPhones sold in America to be manufactured here," the former president stated, leaving the tech giant’s supply chain strategy in question.

Market volatility spiked as investors weighed the potential impact on global trade flows. The escalation comes amid already fragile risk sentiment across traditional markets, a condition that historically drives capital toward alternative assets like cryptocurrencies.
